CALA started on a Miami beach, with a wet leash that smelled like low tide and a dog who didn't care.
Everything we tried absorbed water, held onto sand, and frayed by the end of the season. So we built the leash we wanted: waterproof coated webbing that rinses clean, matte black hardware that won't rust in salt air, and many ways to walk in one piece of gear.
